IT Support Engineer
IT Support Engineer with a computing degree, or a minimum 2 years' experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or providing IT support, is needed by our client. The role will be based out of their Ipswich office.
Reporting to their Operations & IT Manager, you will be the face of IT within their company and play a key role in providing hands-on support for all IT-related issues.
Installing and maintaining hardware, software & the network infrastructure, managing any required updates, troubleshooting problems, resolving any issues, maintaining all servers, setting up new starters, resolving any file access or hardware issues, training and supporting users of their systems, managing backup systems, administering remote access and security systems.
Computing degree / minimum 2 years' experience as a help desk technician, computer technician or IT support providing IT support in a busy environment
Experience setting up and managing Active Directory domains, OU's, Group Policies, User Management etc.
Working knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems Experience working with external IT support companies.
Strong customer facing skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
