IT Support Engineer, 2nd line Desktop, London, £30,000pa plus benefits:
A leading UK based fashion brand is looking to recruit an experienced 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to provide exceptional IT Support services to their UK Head Office function based in London. With over 600 staff based at sites across the UK, this company is leading the way in Fashion within the UK High Street's. You will be joining a company which truly values its IT provision to staff, ensuring that it is always available to staff both in store and at office locations.
You will be joining a small team of four 2nd line IT Support Engineers. This team is integral to the IT operation within this well-known brand. You will be assigned technical 2nd line IT support issues from the 1st line helpdesk team. You will need to respond quickly, troubleshooting a range of issues within the agreed SLA's. The typical technology you will be supporting on a day to day basis is Windows 7 & Windows 10, MAC, iPads, iPhones, Office365, Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, Windows Server, Switches, Sophos Anti-Virus and LANDesk.
It is vitally important that anyone applying to this role has excellent communication skills both face to face and over the phone. As the majority of this position is hands on, you could be supporting users who are fashion designers, or heads of departments and even the odd c-level exec. As a result, excellent communication skill is essential, also a passion for the fashion industry would also be highly desirable.
You will have at least two years' experience providing 2nd line support in a large fast paced corporate environment.
The following experience and skills are essential for the role:
- Investigation and diagnostic skills
- Have used remote assistance/remote desktop services.
- Troubleshooting PC issues (Windows 7\10)
- Installed applications onto users PC
- PC imaging
- Cisco Phones
- Experience with Mobile technology, IPhone's, tablets etc
- An understanding of networks including wireless networks, server 2003-2012, active directory, exchange and network communications
- Mac OS support
- Good at analytical and reporting skills
