IT Support Engineer - 1st, 2nd & 3rd Line

Overview

A leading engineering company on the outskirts of Southampton with an international reputation as experts in their field is looking to recruit a IT Support Engineer. You will be expected to provide full IT support and cover different technical challenges. This is a great opportunity to join a highly respected employer. This role is initially a 4 week assignment.

The Role

You will be working within a small team within the engineering industry providing support to the company across the site. You will be expected to work independently and under your own initiative. You will be providing 1st, 2nd & 3rd level PC support, several severs and the associated network infrastructure.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role it is essential that you have previous 1st, 2nd & 3rd line IT experience with experience of Windows based desktops, networking skills (TCP/IP), ability to troubleshoot Windows faults/error codes and general Microsoft Office knowledge. You will also need to be able to work on your own initiative with good common sense and clearly you will also need very good people skills. Knowledge in an ERP area would be a distinct advantage.

You must be available at short notice and able to commit to the duration of the assignment.
