Are you looking to start your career in IT? We`re looking for entry level candidates to join our Software Support Teams based in Rawdon. Here at EMIS Health, you`ll join our support teams that are dedicated to supporting longer, healthier lives for patients across the UK and you too could be part of that mission whilst learning critical skills required for a career in IT like supporting software, how to use SQL to manage databases and how Windows Servers work!

We`ve a dedicated training team that will work with you to train you in all the skills that you`ll need to support the software that we develop ourselves, so all we need from you is excellent customer service skills and a passion for IT.

About the role

We want people who love their job, something you can really see in our support services team. The environment is made for people who really want to make a positive difference. In this role you`ll be the first point of contact to all our customers, recording the issues they are having, diagnosing them, trying to resolve them and escalating them to the 2nd line team if required.

We`re looking for candidates with a passion for learning new things,a drive to kickstart their career in IT and some great customer service experience!

Our team

We`ve a number of teams that are dedicated to supporting our software - EMIS web. They`re built up of our Support Analysts, a Senior Support analyst and a team manager who will all be on hand to support you as you develop your career with EMIS Health.

This year we launched our Caring EMIS programme, partnering with MIND. As a business we`re trying to raise money and awareness, allowing employees paid time off work to support a charitable or community initiative. So far this year we have climbed the height of Everest raising £14,000 for charity, are planning to walk across the 3 Peaks, and have many other events planned!

Who you are

We want to make sure you are set for success, this isn`t all about your skills and that is why we would love to talk to you even if perhaps you don`t fit all of the below.

What we really need:

  • excellent customer service skills
  • a good understanding of Windows 7, 10
  • an active interest in IT
  • excellent organisational skills

The ideal:

  • previous experience in IT support
  • a certification in an IT related course (MTA, CompTIA, etc)
  • computer science degree (or equivalent)
