Description:

Requirements
• Some practical and recent IT support work experience

• Degree educated.- ideally related to either IT or financial markets

• Knowledge of IT support processes

• Keen interest in financial markets
• Good understanding of Microsoft desktop operating systems

• Bright, enthusiastic and keen to learn

• Proactive, hands-on approach, self-starter, able to take the initiative

• Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Good team player

• Highly structured, organised and meticulous approach to work, with strong analytical skills and a determined approach with an eye for detail.

• Concise approach to documentation with an emphasis on simplifying complex issues

• Ability to multi-task and balance this with the ability to consistently deliver solutions and proposals on time and to budget

• Strong self-motivation

Desirable Technical knowledge
• Good Microsoft Office skills

• Microsoft qualification (MCP or equivalent)

• Any type of trading systems or market data tools

DIO provides a vital role in estates management for the MOD. Data about the estate is held in an asset register which is used to make critical business decisions and to support compliance with our statutory obligations.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the asset register is accurate and kept up-to-date. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assuring accuracy and revision control of estate assets through application of internal procedures, policies and specifications

• Logging applications to update the asset register

• Processing applications to capture and update changes to the asset register: verification of details provided, data entry, and record keeping

• Liaising with applicants and other stakeholders across the business to clarify any points arising

• Review and check associated data for inaccuracies or incompleteness

• Ensure that document control procedures are adopted for all documentation

• Dealing with telephone queries and emails regarding the asset register and the processes to update it KEY SKILLS

• Methodical data entry with speed and accuracy

• Highly attentive to detail

• Previous experience of applying policies and specifications essential

• Proficient with document control systems

• Proficient IT skills: keyboard skills, MS Office, Adobe

• Excellent written and oral English

• Good communication skills and a team player
