IT Support Advisor - 1st Line

Overview

A leading professional services company on the outskirts of Southampton with an international reputation as experts in their field is looking to recruit a IT Support Advisor. You will be expected to provide full IT support and cover different technical challenges. This is a great opportunity to join a highly respected employer. This role is initially a 4 month assignment but could go on longer for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be working within a small IT team providing support to the company across the site. You will be expected to work independently and under your own initiative. You will be providing mainly 1st line PC support, with some 2nd line troubleshooting duties including managing software updates, and testing.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role it is essential that you have some 1st line / tech support experience with experience of Windows based desktops, ability to troubleshoot Windows faults/error codes and general Microsoft Office knowledge. You will also need to be able to work on your own initiative with good common sense and clearly you will also need very good people skills.

You must be available at short notice and able to commit to the duration of the assignment.
