Are you looking for a new permanent job in a friendly and up and coming IT Services company in Carlisle?


We are searching for an IT Support Engineer for a small but expanding Company in the Carlisle area to join a small, friendly hardworking team. The business we are recruiting for are a company that offers local businesses IT Maintenance, Server Installations, Wired and Wireless networks, web hosting and cloud services to name a few. Due to expansion they require an IT Service Engineer to work full time on a permanent basis (approx. 40 hrs per week) 0830 - 1730.

The Salary is negotiable depending upon experience and you will have access to a company vehicle.

We are looking for someone who is able to confidently install and support a wide range of technology products, servers, workstations and networking infrastructure for mainly small to medium sized businesses whilst also being able to offer a support engineer role for the service desk.

Is this job right for you?


To be considered for this role you will be expected to have at least 5 years previous experience in a similar role and have extensive experience working with Server 2008/2012/2018, SBS 2008/2011, Office 365, remote desktop services and active directory. You will have had exposure to HP and Dell platforms, server hardware and hands on knowledge of RAID etc. You will have experience in IP network design including routers/routing, VPN, firewalls, VLAN's, DNS, DHCP and a good knowledge of firewall brands such as Cisco. Knowledge of office 365 products, cloud based products and a strong understanding of IT security and mitigations is needed.
The duties and responsibilities include;

  • Daily management of helpdesk queue
  • Assignment of jobs ensuring time is logged accurately
  • Design, implementation and support of window server environments.
  • Offering client contract or/and ad-hoc incident support for regional clients via telephone, remote and on-site methods
  • Development of processes/documentation and dealing with contract requests and renewals
