As an IT professional you will join the IT Server Support team. Your role as a Server Engineer will be to provide comprehensive 3rd line technical support for Server based Systems within NHS Fife. Participating in the on-call rota as required providing the relevant server support required by the organisation.

You will be an integral part of the support team providing face to face and telephone support to all staff. In addition you will liaise with other support teams and external support organisations where necessary.

Infrastructure Server Technical Support involves resolving IT incidents and implementing IT changes following agreed procedures to agreed timescales. The Server team is supported by other internal support teams, but will be leading the way regarding proactive Server Management and Maintenance.

You will be a team player with excellent work ethic, communication and organisational skills, holding a recognised computing qualification, minimum HND in computing or equivalent. You will a have knowledge, skills and competencies typically gathered during the performance of a similar role or be a developing IT professional with demonstrable aptitude for this role.

You must be able to travel throughout Fife as required.

A level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively.
