It’s an exciting time to work in IT Integration whose job it is to enable Virgin Money to openly communicate across all platforms and third party services using a modern and varied technology stack.
As an IT Senior Developer within Integration, you’ll be responsible for the design, build, testing and documentation of new and amended applications from supplied requirements in accordance with agreed standards, time, cost and quality measures. You’ll provide support, advice and guidance, with responsibility to deliver measurable improvements and act as a role model of our Virgin Money values. You’ll understand business challenges and drivers, and assist with thought leadership for large enterprise scale technological solutions and IT strategy. We’ll look to you to support the System Delivery Manager and Lead Developer in identifying emerging industry and technology trends and take ownership of the delivery of robust solutions. You’ll own relevant standards and procedures to ensure that we’re in-line with industry regulation and company best practice.
In this varied role, you’ll also lead development activity through effective project planning and provide timely updates of progress, issues, risk and impacts as part of status reporting. You’ll consult with stakeholders, providing regular updates and influence the team and stakeholders when making technical decisions. You’ll be an ambassador of our standards, policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities are within regularly, legal and risk requirements.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of relevant systems, frameworks and technologies, with an understanding of large complex IT system dependencies. You’ll have significant experience of working in a structured IT environment with formal project delivery methodologies and have the ability to build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required skills and experience:
Java, JEE, JEE Application Server experience( JBoss/Weblogic ), Spring, Web/REST services experience
Enterprise Service Bus exposure, MQ/JMS, API exposure, Docker/Kerbenetes, Continuous Integration and automation

Salary - Up to £50,500 per annum depending on experience, plus amazing benefits
