ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office IT team in the new role of IT Security Apprentice.

In this role, you will work closely with the Group Information Security Officer and will be responsible for delivering security articles that are required to ensure the business remains compliant and in line with all regulations that must be adhered to.

The nature of the role is ever evolving, from supporting daily security queries to ensuring regular scanning and reviews are conducted. This role is vital for the continued increased security posture of Center Parcs and requires excellent planning and people skills.

The successful candidate will be driven and enthusiastic, having the ambition to progress further within the IT Security field. A good background in IT is required, along with an understanding of how IT impacts on the business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as you will be required to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues across the business.

This apprenticeship is run in conjunction with Derby University and will be fully funded. Whilst working at Center Parcs Head Office, you will therefore be required to attend classes at Derby University. A full UK driving licence would therefore be preferred.

After successful completion of the course, you will achieve a Cyber Security Analyst Degree with a BSc (Hons).

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal Head Office working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional flexibility may be required.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Intermediate IT knowledge
  • 5 GCSE Grades A to C or 9 to 5 or equivalent, specifically including Maths and English
  • A GCSE or equivalent in IT
  • Methodical & organised
  • Strong communicator both verbal and in writing
  • Personable & willing to learn

Desirable requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Cyber Security knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Business IT or IT related qualifications
  • Good analytical thinking
