Your new role
The role involves the daily support of a large networked security system and the operators who use it, located within a high security control room within the Leeds area.
Provide Technical support, development, training, innovation and direction to all Control Room Staff.
Manage the processes that allow the business to meet the requirements of the industry standards that are appropriate to both Client and the group.
Maintain clear, open lines of communication and remain the client's primary point-of-contact (POC) for the Systems, the role is embedded and will have frequent contact with the client during day-to-day operations. Responsible for delivery of 'Best in Class' support service.
Provide technical expertise and product delivery in accordance with commitments agreed to in the Service Level Agreement.
Provide accurate and complete scope documents - including the estimated level of effort required for elements of the Service Level Agreement that are within scope.
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) of work done by others, and Quality Control (QC) of own works; provide support for independent reviews and other technical assistance.
Ensure that plans developed are incorporated into the Service Level Agreement.
Role includes the support of the customer and colleagues in the use of the systems provided, by training and mentoring
Provide accurate scope and effort input required for the Support and management of out-sourced products. Communicate with the Client to ensure mutual understanding of support standards and processes
Support the Team Manager and wider team members in accomplishing project objectives.
Participate in team meetings.
Facilitate teamwork and team development.
Communicate and resolve issues internally and externally
Be an advocate for the team.
Practical skills in using electronics
Experience in a similar IT support based role
Qualifications/Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Qualifications/Knowledge of IP networking
Knowledge of installing of applications within MS Windows 2008/2012
Experience with Computer Hardware
Qualifications/Knowledge of SQL 2012
Cisco Qualifications/knowledge would be advantageous
A good knowledge of BS/EU standards and BSIA related quality standards for ARC Environments is an advantage
Experience of working in a similar environment preferable
Strong communication skills
Strong customer service skills
IT experience on Windows Operating Systems, networking, MS Windows 2008/12, SQL 2012, Pacom GMS & Monitor Sentinel experience preferable
