IT Network Specialist
Information Management & Technology (IM&T) is seen as a critical enabler within this leading NHS Trust who are currently looking to appoint an outstanding individual as their IT Network Specialist.
In this post you will genuinely be contributing to better quality, safer and more efficient patient care for the Trust, whilst acting as the focal point for IM&T in all cyber security related matters, providing expert consultation, guidance & analysis to senior management across the Trust. This is a truly exciting time to join the organisation, and a great opportunity for an experienced, and committed IT professional to join our IM&T service in this business critical role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice in IT Networks and guidance across a range of IM&T areas including infrastructure systems, systems applications, systems analysis and information interpretation;
- Having an in-depth technical knowledge in network switches, routers, wireless controllers, firewalls, network managements systems and security;
- Being the technical expert consultant for highly complex technical IM&T projects that impact technical and clinical environments including the delivery of new systems, infrastructures and services that require network connectivity and security;
- Ensuring the provision of network host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration.
In order to apply to this post you should be an experienced IT Network Specialist who has the experience to carry out the key duties listed above, whilst also be looking to take on a new challenge in an environment where your contribution will have a genuine impact on the local healthcare economy. You should hold a relevant CISCO Certified Network Associate CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Wireless, CCNA Collaboration, or equivalent professional qualifications.
You will be joining a well-respected IM&T function where there is commitment and support to develop their functions and services, and the people who work within them as a result in this post you will be eligible for financial support in terms of training and development courses.
