The primary purpose of the Integration Analyst role will be to work as part of the integration team responsible for delivery of retail system integrations both internal and external. These integrations power the retailers POS and Online channels and are key component in Iceland’s system footprint. The principals of fault tolerance, and high availability are at the core of development in this area.
As an Integration developer, you will be expected to undertake such duties as; consulting with business customers about their requirements, working with the Integration Architects to build Services to specification, customising current integrations in line with changing business needs, evaluating process performance, testing and implementing all software solutions, and meeting face-to-face with business customers.
Iceland’s integration footprint is strategically underpinned by the Microsoft Technology stack, focusing on Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft BizTalk and Microsoft the WebAPI/DotNetCore Framework. In addition to message and batch-based integrations, the successful candidate will have experience with developing and deploying web services to support near and real time integration needs. In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of adoption of a service orientated approach to application development and design.
The successful candidate will get extensive exposure to the Azure tech stack; developing Azure Web Apps, Azure Web Jobs, Azure Functions etc. We have CI environment hosted on VSTS and deploying to an Azure ASE; so there will be opportunities to learn some DevOps as well.
Essential technology skills required:
·C# 4.0+ with Microsoft .NET 4.0+
·ASP.NET MVC 4/5
·Understanding of SOLID principles
·Knowledge of Design Patterns and their application
·Experience of Agile (SCRUM) and Visual Studio Team Foundation Services
·Azure web application hosting experience or knowledge
·Exposure to CI
·Experience of Unit Testing
·Experience of Git and different branching strategies
·Entity Framework and/or different ORMs
·Experience of working with message brokers and messaging integration patterns
·SQL Server administration (experience with SSIS/ETL advantageous)
·Familiarity with Other Database technologies (NoSQL/Redis/Teradata/DB2)
