Up to £31,000 + Car
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing IT support to the offices and sites within your region as well as providing support to other engineers when required. In addition to scheduled site visits you will also have to provide remote support.
When required you will act as a point of escalation for both customers and suppliers.
Scoping and installation of new sites will form a key part of the role.
You will be required to gather requirements, produce proposals and manage the IT installation. This will involve coordinating both internal teams and external suppliers.
As a customer facing representative of IT you must demonstrate a 'can do' attitude allowing IT to be a true enabler to the business.
You will be highly customer focused, owning and managing problems through to a successful conclusion.
This is a varied role and will range from traditional incident and request ticket based activities to the scoping and deployment of new sites.
Act as a point of contact supporting and coordinating the delivery of IT to end users and the business
Manage the setup and delivery of IT to new sites from requirements through to installation
Manage and coordinate 3rd party suppliers in delivering IT to end users.
Ensure processes are followed and that 3rd parties are delivering to the expected standard
Manage office and site communication rooms ensuring they adhere to health and safety policies and IT guidelines
Attend service reviews with the Service Delivery Managers or any other relevant meetings
Proactively schedule and attend site visits to increase the perception of IT Ensure all work is carried out in adherence with IT policies and processes
Develop an effective partnership with suppliers and employees, establishing confidence and respect.
Knowledge of supporting, managing and deploying Operating Systems (Windows 7 and 10) along with its associated hardware
Experience of Microsoft Office 365 including both desktop and cloud based applications
Understanding of network technologies and products like MPLS, ADSL, 4G and radio
Experience of unified communications including VOIP and Skype 4 Business.
Exposure to Video Conferencing would be advantageous
Active Directory User and Computer Administration
Familiar with tablet and mobile technology with an exposure to MDM solutions, preferably Intune
A sound level of experience of working in a customer facing IT environment; preferably in multi partnered, process driven environments
Qualified to a minimum of A level standard
ITIL qualified (minimum Foundation level)
Ability to forge relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Must be able to articulate and translate IT terminology to the business
Take ownership of workloads and making decisions to allow successful delivery
Strong problem solving skills, to both technical and non-technical problems
Full, clean UK Driver's Licence and the ability to drive for the role which requires extensive regional travel, and for which a company car or car allowance at the appropriate grade is provided
