Role in Brief

Based at our East Grinstead office the role will involve supporting customer infrastructures for multiple clients across the region.

The role involves using high quality tools, working in an office-based team, addressing varied customer technology challenges with a focus on delivering high quality work and enhancing infrastructure environments. 

Candidates will have experience in designing and implementing technical solutions with strong experience of technical troubleshooting and problem solving. In addition, as part of this role, the individual will be expected to deal with any system issues as and when they occur.

  • Administering customer infrastructures
  • Recommending and delivering improved IT infrastructure systems
  • Demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Experience in either 3rd line, field or projects 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle escalated calls from IT Help Desk
  • Understanding a client's IT infrastructure and make changes safely and effectively to meet their business goals (whether remotely or on site)
  • Management of relationships with third parties for any escalated tickets
  • Keep operational documentation up to date
  • Research, recommend and plan infrastructure systems
  • Travel to client sites in the region when needed

  • Full driving licence

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience supporting IT infrastructures for organisation with 25-500 users
  • CompTIA qualifications, past apprenticeship success
  • Vendor qualifications from Microsoft, Citrix, Sophos, Cisco, Veaam
  • Maths and English qualifications equivalent to GCSE C or above

Desirable Experience

  • Delivering multiple IT Infrastructure change projects in a Microsoft based operating environment
  • Cloud services such as Microsoft 365, operating and delivering modern workplace services and tools
  • Virtual Apps and Desktops (Citrix, Microsoft)
  • Microsoft Exchange (any supported versions)
  • Virtualisation knowledge - Hyper-v, XenServer, VMware
  • Local and area networking
  • VoIP systems
