We are recruiting for a dynamic and dedicated IT Infrastructure Analyst to provide our client with Systems administration of Windows, Linux, VMWare and Sun Servers to keep the overall infrastructure running smoothly. You will monitor and respond to Service desk tickets and provide both second and third line support for user queries. Our client is prioritising candidates with a Windows Server background. You will be a proactive problem solver and report to the Infrastructure and Service Desk Manager. This hands-on role will involve identifying, detecting and auctioning resolutions to information security threats. In addition, Windows administration including Active Directory maintenance and group policies.

What will I do as the new IT Infrastructure Analyst?
The new IT Manager will be responsible for 2nd and 3rd line responsibilities and provide cover during times where 1st line colleagues may be absent from time to time. In addition to excellent Windows Server knowledge, you will have a keen understanding of user issues along with the ability to communicate well with people who may have less IT knowledge than you. You will ensure that changes you make, maintain security and PCIDSS compliance.
The new IT Infrastructure Analyst will be disciplined and appreciative of keeping service desk standards high, whilst reacting quickly and adapting to changing business needs and external influences.
Am I the right person for this IT Infrastructure Analystrole?
The new IT Infrastructure Analyst must have proven hands on experience of VMware, Windows Server, Linux and more. You will create or update support procedure documentation. From time to time, provide on-call support (on rota basis) over weekends, whilst the occasional weekend work to conduct large scale updates to the system. You will be a keen IT technology advocate, with the willingness to mentor and share knowledge within the team.
You will have accountability for system backups, restores and data recovery. Disaster recovery (DR) tests and DR plans. You will be discreet, with non-disclosure of system passwords and will handle the safety of data backup tapes and materials.
You are likely to have a minimum of 4 years’ experience, having progressed from 1st or 2nd line support roles. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to further their career as an IT Infrastructure Analyst perhaps in a move from a 2nd line role.
