You will be part of a busy IT Helpdesk team supporting internal users across the UK, dealing with a broad range of technical queries, no two days are the same! You will have exposure to a broad range of technologies, and your skill set will increase rapidly. You will be taking high call volumes along with providing support over email and in person, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure. You will also assist with any IT projects as required.
This opportunity would best suit someone with some form of commercial IT Support experience under their belt already, this could be in the form of an IT apprenticeship, voluntary IT work experience, or previous employment in IT. If not then my client may consider someone with a recent IT qualification under their belt (IT BTEC, IT Degree, etc.) who's looking for their first IT role.
There will be very occasional travel required to other sites so the successful candidate will hold a full UK drivers licence, but you don't need to have your own car as my client have hire cars that you can make use of!
The successful candidate must have a customer service focus, with strong communication skills, both written and verbally, with the ability to provide a professional service and help colleagues. This is a busy department so the ability to work well under pressure is a must! There will be ample training on offer and you will be expected to keep abreast of the latest technologies. Any previous experience in IT Support/Customer Service will be highly favourable.
