IT Finance Buying Assistant

Excellent opportunity for a Buying Assistant to support the IT Finance Team and IT Corporate Services at a major employer in Milton Keynes.

Reporting to the IT Budgets Co-ordinator and supporting the IT Finance Co-ordinator your main responsibilities will include:

• Processing orders for IT equipment
• Challenging costs and negotiating best rates of pay
• Setting up contracts, extensions and licence agreements
• System Maintenance
• Software Management
• Attend and minute supplier meetings
• Raising requisitions and purchase orders for services or purchases
• Ensuring all orders are raised using the purchasing system and tracked
• To record all purchase requisitions and orders raised on all budget codes, recording the commitment in the appropriate spreadsheet.
• Close monitoring of generic e-mail boxes, responding to queries in line with SLAs and disseminating

To be considered for the role you need the following qualities:

• Previous experience in a Commercial and Finance Team with strong business admin
• Analytical and methodical
• Able to interrogate a range of sources
• Competent at maintaining databases
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proven experience of supporting a commercial department
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLook-ups
• Sharp focus on cost-savings, efficiency and effectiveness
• Knowledge and understating of Forecasting and Budgets

Role requires an immediate start for a minimum of 4 months with strong chance of extension for the right candidate.
