IT Desktop Support Engineer

Rate: £110-120/day
Contract Length: 1 month
Availability: Immediate starters only.
Location: Central London, EC2V

IT Desktop Support Engineer - Key Skills:

- 2 years commercial 2nd line support experience.
- 2 years hands on experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows 10 in an Active Directory environment.
- Experience with building, maintaining, repairing user workstations and laptops.
- Experience resolving user printer problems.
- Excellent people person.
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be immediately available.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.

About the Role:

Your role as an IT Desktop Support Engineer will involve:

* Respond to service tickets and requests for local desktop support for assigned offices and remote desktop support for other offices as required to meet service level agreements
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, network, user access, or related issues
* Escalate more complex problems or unresolved issues to next level of support
* Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
* Set up new IT equipment for the office (printers, computers, etc.)
* Comply with Corporate IT Service Management policies, procedures and directives
