IT Delivery Analyst/Infrastructure Engineer | Birmingham | £32,000 - £38,000 | Permanent

As specialists in the IT Recruitment industry, Xpertise are recruiting for a IT Delivery Analyst/Infrastructure Engineer for a hospitality company. This business is at the forefront of their industry and have a genuine passion for what they deliver. The IT Delivery Analyst/Infrastructure Engineer will play a core role in proactively maintaining and managing the network and managing the relationships with third party suppliers. This is a proactive role ensuring future capacity and performance for day to day usage as well as supporting future infrastructure change.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with 3rd parties in relation to incidents and ongoing management
  • Adhere to ITIL processes
  • Provide 4th line support to internal users
  • To aid in the service transition process ensuring projects are delivered smoothly
  • To plan and carry out operating system, hardware upgrades in line with operational planning
  • Create and maintain both software and hardware configuration documentation including networking
  • Creation of tech notes for wider operational support teams
  • Contribute to the optimisation of software and hardware management including networking
  • Build and maintain networks within the relevant business functions to promote enhancement of the group architectural standards and principals
  • Deliver quality solutions that adhere to the best practise in the industry
  • Contribute to the shape and future direction within the core functional area
  • Ability to manage and support colleagues through Technology Change Management
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the current operation
  • Appropriately facilitate 3rd party solution designs

Technical skills:

  • Cloud based technologies such as Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Databases SQL 2012 +
  • Security concepts

Knowledge of:

  • Hardware builds (client/mobile/server)
  • Client and server operating systems including mobile
  • Virtualisation Technologies
  • Client software packaging tools such as SCCM
  • Microsoft Active Directory implementation and development of.
  • Enterprise Server & Storage Solutions including backup technologies
  • Collaboration Toolsets such as SharePoint On-line & Office 365 suite
  • Telephony
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Error log retrieval and analysis

Qualifications and experience required:

  • MCSA Windows Server 2012 +
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in 3rd Line
  • MCSE Level or equivalent
  • Excellent and demonstrable experience in troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues, implementing a root fix where possible
