IT & Continuity Manager

RP Analytics are engaged with a leading Financial Services business in the West Midlands who are looking to recruit an IT & Business Continuity Manager. You will be tasked with facilitating the business's IT & Business Continuity framework in order to ensure it meets business, group and regulatory requirements adapting existing processes to a continual service improvement strategy. Main Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage and organise the IT Continuity steering committee in his/her operational entity
  • Gather IT Continuity needs with Business Continuity
  • Consolidate and maintain the list of critical IT assets of the operational entity
  • Deploy and maintain the appropriate IT continuity framework for existing IT assets (portfolio) and projects
  • Ensure compliance with IT Continuity requirements
  • Know the chosen IT Continuity solutions
  • Raise awareness and train players in their scope
  • Ensure compliance with IT Continuity requirements
  • Prepare IT Continuity reports of the operational entity including results from exercises
  • Present IT Continuity risks for IT assets in production to the management of the operational concerned
  • Integrate IT Continuity into steering bodies for Business Continuity
  • Provide the operation entity’s critical processes and contribute to identification of ICT assets that support them
  • Maintain the coordination with ICOs for the communication of continuity requirements and to guarantee consistency between Business Continuity and IT Continuity policies
  • Facilitate planning and completion of regular end-to-end IT continuity exercises
  • The role of the ICO is to set up, coordinate and monitor the IT continuity framework for IT assets managed by his/her entity. S/he must notably:
  • Organize and monitor regular exercise plans,
  • Prepare IT continuity reports of the entity including results from exercises,
  • Monitor nonconformities related to IT continuity, taking into account the remediation plans or waivers.
  • To carry out his/her duties, the ICO must coordinate with the teams in charge of Business Continuity, IT ADM, Production, IS Security and Operational Risk.
  • Enforce IT Continuity framework amongst IT Project/Portfolio manager for internal IT assets as well as for IT assets manager by third parties
  • Participate in the Risk Review and Service Review meetings to enforce IT Continuity and reach Group IT Continuity Requirements

  • Managing Business Continuity and/or IT Disaster Recovery process
  • Production of detailed reports to senior management audience

  • 1 year of experience working in a troubleshooting environment
  • Demonstrable ability to improve upon existing processes
  • Demonstrable ability to produce Terms of Reference, Policies and Processes
