We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Business Partner to help shape and deliver our long term Food and Beverage (F&B) technology Strategy and Roadmap.  Working closely with our leadership team, you’ll take overall responsibility for the IT pipeline for Premier Inn’s F&B function, ensuring we clearly understand the commercial drivers, business cases, technology approach and interdependencies for each initiative in our Portfolio

What you will be doing:

  • Acting as the advocate for the F&B team in all IT programmes
  • Working to ensure project outcomes meet commercial objectives
  • Acting as the main point of entry to IT for senior members of the PI&R team
  • Converting the developing F&B strategy into a structured, sequenced roadmap of IT projects
  • Implementing processes to manage the flow of lower-level change requests into IT, ensuring these are evaluated and prioritised to enable the delivery teams to flow effectively
  • Becoming a trusted adviser to the PI leadership team on all technology issues
  • Offering thought leadership in the innovative use of technology to deliver the business plan
  • Managing the development of robust business cases for all IT related programmes
  • Providing constructive challenge to business leaders on the most effective use of IT spend

What are we looking for:

  • Proven experience in a senior IT relationship role (whether IT Business Partner, Business Relationship Manager, or Head of IT) in a comparable business
  • Expertise in all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation to delivery
  • Solid experience in programme portfolio and pipeline management including establishing a full spectrum IT pipeline process
  • Particular expertise in defining and documenting IT strategy, with ideally significant experience of major corporate strategy cycles at the board level
  • Sound commercial and financial experience and the ability to build, challenge and present business cases at all levels
  • Excellent communications skills whether written or verbal, formal or informal 
  • Structured approach to stakeholder management and ability to select appropriate method for different scenarios
  • Good grasp of technology principles in development, implementation or testing to demonstrate credibility with technology teams.
