The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a successful Stevenage-based organisation who are currently seeking a motivated IT Assistant to join their existing team.
My client is ideally looking for an individual who can display professional enthusiasm and has a natural passion for IT and all things tech. Some commercial IT experience is preferable, however internships and placement years could also be considered.
Were you to be successful, you would be working as part of a small team and would take on an equal share of on-call hours - for which you would be remunerated.
The technical remit requires supporting the IT infrastructure across a couple of sites, within a Windows Environment. Technologies and responsibilities would include:
- Outlook/Exchange 2007/2010/2013
- Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
- Backup Checks
- Printer Support
- Maintaining hardware and software inventory
- User setup and support
- Contributing to Project Work, including MS updates, database management, storage solutions and network and systems expansions, as required.
- Ensuring efficient equipment functionality for Senior Management
This role will be predominantly based in Stevenage, however the successful candidate will require their own car in order to travel to a couple of additional sites, one of which is in London, on a regular, if not weekly, basis. Please consider this requirement before applying.
As mentioned there is the requirement to work occasional Overtime, Out of Hours or On Call Travel Cover, in accordance with business needs.

This is a permanent position offering up to £23,000 dependent on depth of relevant skills and experience.
