Job Title: IT Administrator (Cyprus)

Main Purpose

The role of IT Administrator will be to work in our client's expanding Development Centre, based in Limassol, Cyprus. You will be responsible for providing ongoing support to the wider business, in addition to liaising with their sister development centre based in Germany. Providing frontline support is a key component of the role, engaging with the wider business to ensure IT systems and processes run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a high pressured working environment, possess a positive attitude and a keen desire to explore new technologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Taking responsibility for the operation, planning, conception and documentation of the Networks
  • Demonstrate the ability to recognise and analyse problems as and when they arise and initiate appropriate solutions
  • Install and configure client/server hardware and software
  • Act as a key point of contact for key stakeholders across the business
  • Represent the administration area in cross-border solution teams
  • Continually evaluate new technologies
  • Administer network and security systems
  • Monitor the IT infrastructure
  • Develop skills through training and knowledge transfer
  • Workstation Support
  • Install/deployment and configuration of software
  • Install new hardware servers, Hyper-V configurations
  • Maintenance and Patch
  • VC Support
  • Install IT security tools
  • Telephony and VOIP support
  • Back Up - including off sites
  • Network Administration
  • Mobile telephony
  • Active Directory
  • Distributed File Shares High Availability
  • WLAN/Guest Wi-Fi
  • VOIP/PBX

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Able to demonstrate a sound network know-how in routing / switching and security technologies with layer 2 and layer 3 technology.
  • Knowledge of the use of technical systems (DHCP, DNS, NAT, NFS, WDS, DFS, Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of Cisco network hardware
  • Knowledge of the operating systems Windows and Linux
  • Able to speak English to a good standard
