The Salary: £18,000 pa + excellent benefits (see below)

Job Summary

Support the IT Co-ordinator to manage our internal IT infrastructure; ensuring all systems are secure, reliable and efficient for optimum business performance.

Please note that flexibility is a key requirement of this role. The successful candidate must demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to business travel, attending shows, training, weekend work

Key Responsibilities

Support the IT Co-ordinator with the following:

Implement the organisational electronic data protection and security strategy.

Ensure backup systems and procedures operate effectively and are tested regularly.

Project management: support all ongoing IT projects including (but not limited to) telephony and broadband upgrades and software rollouts.

Support the technical support infrastructure (e.g. diagnose problems, implement security updates, download upgrades and carry out essential repairs) for companywide software and hardware; including laptops, desktops, printers and telephones; liaising with external contractors and suppliers as required.

Liaise between external IT contractors and the end users acting as a technical support link.

Provide Sage X3 user management support and carry out auditing of the Sage X3 System.

Support with the configuration, installation and maintenance of company equipment (e.g. telephones, laptops, desktops and iPads).

Support with monitoring the performance of physical and virtual servers; regularly audit systems in line with insurance requirements.

Support VPN and RDC connectivity across multiple sites.

Provide training, support and advice to employees and promote awareness of security threats.

Ensure all technical documentation is kept current and up to date.

Professional Qualities Required

Previous employment experience in a comparable IT role.

Remain informed on the latest technical developments, research and best practice in the IT industry.

Volunteer for shows and attend professional events as required.

Formal qualification(s) in an ICT related subject.

Advanced knowledge of hardware/software systems including MS Exchange and MS Office applications


Company car after two years` service.
