We are currently recruiting for a National Training Provider who is looking to take on an experienced IQA (Quality Coach) to work on a national basis remotely / homebased covering the Midlands region.
The main purpose of this role is to carry out internal quality assurance for the Vocational Training division in order to maintain a consistent, quality approach to the learner journey.
In terms of occupational areas, accounting/finance and leadership/management would be real advantages.
Responsibilities:
- To carry out quality assurance activities including observation of teaching, learning and assessment, learner journey and qualification sampling
- To actively engage with delivery partners to ensure quality of provision is to the required level determined
- To identify key development areas and actively contribute to their improvement
- To work across vocational products identifying and disseminating areas of best practice
- To work closely with delivery teams supporting personal and team development
- To maintain a consistent approach to delivery and assessment practices across the vocational provision, in line with relevant policy
- To keep fully up to date with Ofsted, Agency and Awarding Body requirements
- To support the Head of Quality in the preparation for external quality visits
Team responsibilities:
- To provide additional direction to delivery staff with quality improvement issues by way of support visits
- To play an active role in the coordination and support for Ofsted inspection
- To be available to assist in any Quality Improvement projects as they occur
- To assist in training staff as the need arises
- To ensure effective and efficient working practices which have an impact on making improvements
Person Specification:
- Working knowledge of quality improvement strategies
- Experience of working across varied vocational delivery programmes
- Assessor award (A1, D32/33, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement)
- IQA award (V1, D34, Level 4 Certificate in Internally Quality Assuring the Assessment Process)
- Experience of delivering staff training
- Working knowledge of awarding body requirements
- Working knowledge of the Common Inspection framework
- Knowledge of Skills Funding Agency requirements (desirable)
- Possesses confident, friendly, approachable manner
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Able to persuade/influence others
- Able to maintain authority in difficult environments
- Demonstrate a willingness to help and support other members of staff within the team
- Flexible Attitude to work - able to travel nationally including occasional overnight stay if required
- Analytical skills to enable the identification of trends and determine support needs
- The ability to produce management reports
