My client, are a leading global Freight Forwarder, with a rich history and aspirations to progressively grow their presence in the future. Working from one of their major blue chip, corporate client sites, they are looking to appoint an experienced Invoicing Clerk in a permanent Fixed Term role (until 31st Dec 2021 - with possibility of further extension); working amongst a small, friendly team.
This is an administrative based role and would suit someone with Finance Administration experience, or someone who has worked as an accounts or Finance Assistant, particularly those with experience of invoicing. Candidates with previous invoicing experience within Logistics will be highly desirable, although this is not essential.
PURPOSE OF JOB: To keep all invoices (purchase and sales) under control. Raise payment applications to the client Deal with Admin duties. Provide assistance to other team members as requested by management.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Task 1--- Purchase invoices
1.1 Approve purchase invoices.
1.2 Raise sales invoices.
1.3 Run and check cost control and close files.
1.4 Document control.
1.5 General filing
- Task 2 --- Expediting/Admin.
2.1 Assist expediting team and other team members as and when required.
2.2 General Admin duties.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
The job holder will need to be able demonstrate:
- Good numeric and communication skills
- Experience within Freight forwarding/Exports/Transportation services
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good telephone manner
- Ability to deal with several tasks at once
- Ability to prioritise
