Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Financial Services business at the early stages of its journey of planned significant growth within the Wrap market.

In this new role, reporting to the Head of Pension Technical Services, you will be working as a member of the technical team, providing support to the Group companies, alongside the senior leadership team. The role holder will play a pivotal part in supporting the business by providing guidance and expertise in relation to tax products (ISA/GIA), HMRC legislation and taxation.

Key to success will be your ability to demonstrate and apply a rounded technical understanding, exceptional breadth of knowledge of the entire Wrap lifecycle, your attention to detail, and your focus on delivering strong customer and commercial outcomes.

Key Accountabilities / Objectives

  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant product legislation, ISA and international tax compliance

  • You will also have responsibility to identify policy issues and help facilitate informed policy decision making and similarly with regard to operational procedures.

  • Evaluate and review product documentation, sales related material and website

  • Perform regulatory/legislative change analysis and interpretation, working with the team to support successful implementation of regulatory/legislative changes

  • As part of the team structure you will ensure colleagues will be kept fully appraised of ISA/GIA and investment taxation related issues and likewise you will be required to keep up to date on SIPP issues particularly relating to wrap propositions.

  • A key team function is to maintain a technical helpdesk across relevant product areas. You will also be required to support business development activities i.e. sales, product and proposition development.

  • A key focus will be on imparting technical knowledge through effective spoken, written and presentational mediums.

  • Provide guidance and/or training for colleagues as required.

  • Provide support and guidance to advisers and clients

  • Contact with advisers and customers to resolve queries/provide technical information and support.

Specific Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge / Skills Required

Investment administration, ISA / GIA and Tax

Platform experience

3 years plus in a senior technical role

In depth understanding of all relevant legislation

Strong communication skills

CII or relevant Financial Services qualifications


IRO £55,000pa plus benefits package

This postion may be suitable for someone interested in working part-time, or reduced hours per day.
