Investment Operations Executive

Investment Operations Executive opportunity at Redmayne Bentley - the role can be based at either Leeds or Locksbottom.

Working as an Investment Operations Executive the successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the firm and clients, within the Investment operations team. This includes focusing on improving operational processes which affect investment management across the firm - such as dealing with queries and questions, administering and circulating placing information and probate valuations.

Duties will include:

  • Providing innovative ideas relating to processes and projects to increase efficiency and improve working practices across the investment management function.

  • Assisting with general client enquiries, ad-hoc requests and any other additional tasks.

  • Ensuring all telephone calls to the Investment operations team, from offices or clients, are responded to within a timely manner.

  • Monitoring managed client reporting via the client reporting software system and assist with data queries raised by exception reports.

  • Monitoring and reviewing all MiFID II reporting (e.g.10% Portfolio falls)

  • Ensuring data issues raised by investment managers are passed to the relevant department to rectify.

  • Creating investments schedules, pitching documents on presentations for existing and potential clients.

  • Providing cover & support for other members of the team including the probate valuation service; liaising with HO departments and checking and updating data as required.

  • Assisting with any capital gains tax enquiries from investment managers across the firm.

  • Analysing and monitor internal data, programs and processes and initiating the correction of any issues.

  • Maintaining a relationship with the firm’s offices, by providing a central point of contact as a liaison between head office and the wider firm.

  • Carrying out office visits and assist in the setting up of new offices as required.

  • Administering and circulating placing and new issue information.

All candidates should:

  • Have an interest in the stock market, an understanding of different service levels within the firm, an understanding of capital gains tax, corporate actions and other 'back office’ procedures relating to investments.

  • Possess intermediate level of outlook, excel and word skills and hold a basic understanding of powerpoint

  • Be innovative, have excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst staying organised during busy periods.

  • Hold investment management, back or middle office experience and have the ability to understand and analyse complex information.

  • Previous experience of communicating with clients and colleagues both verbally and in writing.

  • Ideally the successful candidate will have capital gains tax and corporate actions experience and be educated to A Level or equivalent (the IOC qualification or other industry qualifications are preferable.
