Investigations Assistant

Central Manchester

£8.80 per hour (6 month contract)

A major organisation based in Manchester is looking for an Investigations Assistant to join their team. Dealing with ongoing investigations, the ideal candidate will be highly organised and disciplined in their approach and will be used to working towards rigid procedures. This is a 6 month contract role that has the possibility of becoming permanent.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Inputting performance assessment data into a bespoke database and seeking clarifications from performance assessors

Preparing and collating folders for performance assessments

Updating computerised records accurately and promptly

Maintaining team spreadsheets

Contributing to regular team meetings

Answering telephone enquiries and referring more complex matters to senior colleagues as appropriate.

The ideal candidate for this job will have the following skills:

Excellent typing skills and the ability to accurately input large volumes of handwritten data

Effective use of IT systems. MS Word, Excel and Outlook are widely used, as is the GMC's bespoke database.

The ability to work within established policies and procedures

To have an understanding of the Data Protection Act and the importance of maintaining confidentiality at all times.
