The role of the Inventory & Warehousing Co-ordinator will be to administer and organise the digital hardware products required as part of project delivery, covering warehousing and storage, internal and external stock management and timely despatch to ensure project installation requirements are met.
This role administers all warehousing, inventory and despatch activities as part of project delivery. The role will be involved in tagging and logging all hardware to be delivered as part of the wider project, as well as stock held in the warehouse on behalf of third party clients. Communication of stock levels with Purchasing and Planning is key.
Main responsibilities will be to:
+ Monitor receipt of goods from suppliers and update stock in Sage or Assettrac as appropriate
+ Review system generated reports to ensure physical and actual stock levels remain reconciled and conduct investigations into discrepancies
+ Ensure clear process for managing stock movements - goods in, internal movements and transfers, evaluation stock, goods out, items returned from site (to be tested on return)
+ Ensure third party stock (managed on behalf of customers or partners) is tracked and segregated
+ Organise warehouse for maximum efficiency, safety and clarity
+ Maintain paperwork to support inventory movements, including retention of delivery/despatch paperwork
+ Forecast stock requirements and liaise with Project team to ensure project deadlines are met
+ Plan and manage despatches, including logistics, picking and loading
+ Arrange for return of faulty products from site and for appropriate handling once delivered
+ Troubleshoot daily issues with inventory, identify root causes and resolve
+ Report any high-level issues through a highlight report to the Commercial Team Leader
Education and skills required:
+ 3+ years’ experience in a similar inventory and warehouse role
+ Stock control / perpetual inventory experience
+ Positive attitude and interest in the technology
+ Meticulous attention to detail and works to a high standard of professionalism
+ Works independently and methodically and uses initiative to solve problems, but can equally work within a process as part of a team
+ Logical, with good personal organisation and ability to work to deadlines
+ Able to prioritise work among competing tasks with changing priorities
+ Proven customer service focus with well-developed communication skills
+ Hours of work: 08:30 to 17:00 (with 1 unpaid hour for lunch), Monday - Friday
+ Salary: circa £22,000 per annum
+ Discretionary bonus based on company performance
