Inventory Manager - training provider - Swansea - permanent - up to £22k

We are looking for an Inventory Manager to work in collaboration with an Events Manager, to be responsible for overseeing and managing the inbound and outbound process through the warehouse, in addition to shipping, logistics management and inbound purchasing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting and coordinating event managers to order all event collateral as required for on time receipt and subsequent delivery to events.
  • Maintain high stock integrity by ensuring accurate stock control and thereby minimising stock liabilities and supporting the operation in achieving high event service levels
  • Process all product dispatches in a timely manner.
  • To instigate replenishment of stocked items when needed.
  • Process all goods in-bound materials, including inspection.
  • Management of Pick Lists and Shipment Schedules
  • Prepare monthly stock and stock reconciliation reports, and ensure all stock is of sufficient quality to serve events.
  • Supplier sourcing to maintain price competiveness of purchased items
  • Ongoing management and improvement of all inbound and outbound logistics and supply chain processes

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience of requisitioning and purchasing processes
  • A good understanding of inbound warehouse processing, and the relevant paperwork, from receipt to inspection
  • A good understanding of outbound warehouse processing, and the relevant paperwork, from picking, packing and shipping
  • Experience in logistics distribution and supply chain, including the management of outbound shipping schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative but also a very strong team player.
  • Experience adhering to timescales and tight shipment schedules.
  • A positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Previous experience of working with asset tracking and store software an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in supplier sourcing ideal but not essential
