INVENTORY MANAGER

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic company as their Inventory Manager looking after the inventory at Sutton and also remotely at one of their London locations.
The role would suit someone who truly loves inventory control and working to provide stakeholders with the bets possible service.
Maximize the performance of the stores operation and ensuring that resources are planned and managed effectively.

Manage daily stores operations, and planning the use of materials and resources to ensure maximum efficiency.

Management of the teams at both the Sutton and London site (5 staff members in total) including staff recruitment, development, training and appraisal.

Ensure adherence to all Institute policies concerning legal and Health and Safety matters in so far as they relate to stores polices and procedures.

Maintain stock inventories in line with demand. Analyse stores spend activity and make procurement priority judgments accordingly.

Rotation of stock and minimise stock obsolescence.

Maintaining accurate records of all prices and other information held in the Product Master Data for all inventory 
Arranging and managing the annual stock takes at both stores locations.

Receiving and facilitating the availability and delivery of goods supplied both internally and externally

Supplier Management, sourcing, price negotiation and performance monitoring

Management of consignment stock programs on behalf of external suppliers.

Expediting of internal and external orders and reconciliation of queries with external suppliers.

Responsible for security of the stores area and ensuring that stock such as chemicals and hazardous materials are stored safely and at the correct temperature.

Budgetary Management and accountability (Stores Accounts, consumables & stock)

Engage with customers to monitor the quality of the services provided by stores.

Deliver customer value by driving process improvement and continuous improvement

Develop and agree department Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with users

Respond to customer queries in a prompt and timely manner

Deputise for the Head of Procurement where appropriate.

Logistics / Supply Chain qualification desirable 
Previous inventory management experience is essential
Able to build excellent stakeholder relationships
Experience of electronics systems and processes within a stores / warehouse setting
Experience dealing with suppliers and price negotiation
Someone who loves inventory control and assisting stakeholders with their requirements
