Inventory Manager - Ocado Erith Fulfilment Center

Inventory Manager will be a role right at the heart of Ocado’s latest CFC’s operation, through organising day to day inventory management and continually improve this process by engaging the Business Analysts and operational team. Initially this will involve working in a pre-go live environment, so is an opportunity to be involved in an exciting project from the start - not only learning world leading technology through a testing and commissioning phase -but also an opportunity to embed a market leading culture from the beginning. In this role you will be someone who can affect the KPI performance of the entire site through inventory management and also the post shift physical and financial stock analysis .This will involve managing temperature sensitive stock in Inbound and Outbound operations, by minimising shorts, resolving stock discrepancies and focusing on the quality of the product as it flows through the warehouse.

You will be expected to manage a team of people to run a shift by completing pre shift checks, reacting to issues arising during the shift and post shift purge and analysis. You will be someone who can analysis large data sets and be able to interpret this data into tangible improvements that can be implemented into the operation. Ultimately you will be accountable for a number of Fulfilment KPIs which are integral to the quality of service we offer our customers. Furthermore by limiting waste, through effective inventory management, you will help the operation and the business growth

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in Inventory management
  • A proven manager of teams of people, who leads by example, and is capable of dealing with all issues that arise from managing people
  • Diligent and detailed in all you do understanding the impact accuracy can have on a complex FMCG operation
  • Commercially savvy with eye for detail
  • Ability to create professional looking reporting and detail for both Ocado and Customers
  • Flexible in approach and has good understanding of operations or operational impact of decisions
  • Strong statistical analysis and database management skills
  • Innovative with continuous improvement outlook
  • Good at working with various stakeholders and understanding priorities for other departments
  • Passionate about customer service and creating better proposition
