Engage Education are working alongside an Academy in the London borough of Enfield who are seeking an English intervention teacher to join them to work closely with small groups of Year 11 pupils with the view of boosting the attainment in that core subject.

Based in Enfield, the Academy was graded as 'requires improvement' by Ofsted which they are determined to improve upon. With a steady rise in EAL and SEN pupils, the school has worked hard to give them all the academic and pastoral support they need to reach their potential and are calling upon those with a passion to work closely with individuals to improve their results.
About the role
The role of the intervention teacher will include working in small groups with year 11 pupils with the view to strengthen their GCSE exam preparation. The school have identified the students that require improvement and have created this position for an intervention teacher to increase the percentage of pupils achieving above Grade 5.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of helping students to raise attainment in English and have a passion for helping others and be ready to start immediately until June 2018. It would also be favourable to have experience tailoring planning to individual students.
The school require a fully qualified teacher. This role is not suitable for NQTs.
