Job salary: £35,000 - 45,000 per annum
Hours: Full time or part time of 24 hours + considered
Kelly Services Cheltenham is proud to be working alongside an international organisation with a solid presence across the county. From their Shared Services they look after a variety of functions for the wider UK business including Global Mobility and International Payroll.
You will report directly into the Head of the Shared Services as their local specialist. There will be a dotted line into the wider HR function, but you will ultimately have a good level of autonomy within this integral role.
The organisation are bringing the international payroll and tax in from their outsourced provider, and therefore need someone who is going to be able to help them develop the process in-house.
You will need to examine the finer details of the relocation including Compensation, Benefits and Tax. There also needs to be an understanding of international payroll, and the aptitude to monitor complex data and do relevant calculations. You will be the first point of contact for any queries from expatriates.
You will be responsible for all UK based international assignees, to or from the UK from a variety of areas. You will manage the program itself, developing it further and considering continuous improvement in line with policies and procedures. You will be the key point of contact to offer advice and expertise during the international assignments and will co-ordinate the relationships with all contacts, both internal and external, assisting in the administration of the process.
Dependent on the candidate there could be an opportunity to pick up the IT systems part of the role, becoming the point of contact for the HRIS.
What is expected from you:
In order to be successful you will be required to have experience managing an International Payroll process. Another part of the role will be managing Global Mobility/ International Assignments, however this will be taught if knowledge is lacking. You will need to have the ability to pick up the Compliance part of relocating expatriates, as well as softer skills in managing this relocation process, which can be stressful for some expatriates.
The client is ideally looking for a Graduate with a First Class or Upper Second Honours Degree, alongside membership of CIPD or CIPP.
You may have experience as a Global Assignment Consultant, Global Mobility Specialist, International Assignment Specialist or International Assignment Consultant to name a few positions, but ideally have been an International Payroll Manager or International Payroll Specialist.
The role could either be full or part time dependent on the candidate. There may be some travelling within the UK, but this will be minimal.
This Gloucestershire based role is commutable from all areas of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire including Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and north Bristol. It would also be feasible to travel from locations such as Swindon and Evesham.
