Internal Sales Specialist - Cellular & Molecular Biology Equipment

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Cell & Molecular Business Unit Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Providing customers with quotations
  • Using the existing Wired Contact database to call existing contacts in the database to develop leads
  • Inputting leads and maintaining the accuracy of the database
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities
  • Managing leads through to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Working on email campaigns and leads generation
  • Developing leads from journals, conferences, seminars
  • Maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and internal staff.
  • Provide updated weekly forecast sales figures to C&M business unit Manager
  • Attend internal business unit’s meetings as and when required.
  • Ad-hoc representation of Labtech at events, national exhibitions and conferences
  • Any other duties commensurate to the role depending on business needs

The Requirements:

  • You must be educated to BSc degree level (or equivalent) as a minimum preferably in a biological discipline such as: Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Oncology, Virology, Biological Sciences, Immunology, Genetics or similar area
  • The role requires that the candidate is self motivated, confident and a great relationship builder
  • Good presentation and communication skills are pivotal as are strong verbal skills
  • Initiative, drive for results, and excellent team working skills are "key factors for success" within this organisation
  • Fantastic organisational skills is key and required to be successful in this role
  • A background in a customer facing role/sales environment is beneficial but not required as full sales training will be provided

Our client is a market leading life science organisation who sells products across cell, molecular and biochemical applications within the academia & research sectors. They are continuously exhibiting growth and development year on year and immediately require an enthusiastic and outgoing Molecular Biology or relevant Biological degree graduate to join their already successful internal sales team. They specialise in cutting edge equipment and technology to include Next Generation Sequencing, PCR Max, Live Cell Imaging & Cell Isolation equipment.
