Is a market leader in its area of expertise, making it one of the most respected and fastest growing companies in their field. It provides innovative/solution driven software to some of the biggest names in a highly regulated industry sector, and the business is growing.

They have a clear vision for the future and much of that is determined by bringing in and developing new talent into the business. As a result, our client is now looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and results driven Sales Manager to support its established team moving forward.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have been tasked with assisting the business to find an individual who will manage and develop the existing internal sales team. You will be based in our client’s modern offices in Sheffield, where they operate in an open plan office environment, allowing teams to work in collaboration with each other. Whilst you will be trained to understand the company’s products and services you will be encouraged to develop the sales team by introducing and implementing your own internal processes. Whilst this is an already motivated and hardworking team it will be your ability to effectively mentor, train, guide and develop others that will be critical to ensuring this teams successful performance for the future.

THE ROLE & CANDIDATE BRIEF

Our client is searching for an individual who will have a positive impact on this team, with the end result being reflected in the achievement of both team and individual sales and retention targets. You will encourage and train your team on how to intelligently research potential prospects and to increase lead generation. The ultimate objective for the sales team is to secure appointments for the field sales team to attend.

You will be someone who can quickly and easily build rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and you will still be naturally enthusiastic about what you do. This is a hands-on role and you will also have the opportunity to achieve personal targets, which will be rewarded and recognised. You will have gained experience as a manager or supervisor of a telesales team, with a focus on identifying prospects within varied markets and you will think intelligently by fully understanding the product and service and how they apply to the businesses you and the team approach.

Ideally you will have experience building and developing your own team/department and will be committed to ensuring the team exceeds in an environment that encourages individual employee satisfaction and that rewards both individual and overall team performance.

This is a newly created role for the business which has been brought in to streamline the sales process, allowing the successful candidate to make this their own.

Your duties will include the following:

  • Mentor and develop the existing team members

  • Ensure individual and team targets are reached on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Implement training solutions and strategies for the whole team, in order to generate prospect leads for increased outbound sales activity

  • Work with the team to increase sales growth, by ensuring call targets are

  • Ensure all team KPIs are monitored and reported to the senior leadership team on a regular basis

  • Identifying and researching new prospects and prospecting new clients via the phone, social media and following up leads to promote and sell our clients products and services.

Essential skills, experience and personal requirements

We would like to hear from people who:

  • Have experience working in a managerial or supervisory sales role within a telesales environment

  • Can provide evidence of success and achievement in their career to date

  • Can work to goals and targets and are still enthusiastic about what they do

  • Are excellent communicators, both verbally and written and able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Have a confident, enthusiastic and friendly personality, with a forward-thinking and innovative attitude

  • Experience solution/IT selling would be desirable, but is not essential

  • Are good team players and are willing to get stuck in
