Sales Office Manager, Engineering, based in Chepstow, £34,000 Basic salary plus bonuses, pension and commission (circa £40,000 OTE). This well-structured and successful manufacturer requires a multi-skilled Internal Sales Manager to manage, coach and lead the team of six internal sales and telesales professionals. As the Sales Office Manager, you will lead by example and ensure that the team has an excellent team spirit to enable them to provide all customers with terrific service and ensuring that all business growth targets are met. You will be self-motivated and an 'ideas person' that is always looking to improve systems and processes. Most importantly, this is an autonomous role, and as such, you must be a proven leader with an enthusiastic and positive "can do" attitude.

* You will have a proven track record of managing a telesales, telemarketing or internal sales team and be used to setting and measuringprocesses to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

* The absolute ideal candidate will have worked in an environment that is semi-technical (engineering, construction, industrial, electronics, etc) and where orders are typically tailored to client needs.

* This is a proactive sales environment where your team will be prospecting and cold calling together with managing existing accounts.

This is a hugely varied and exciting role within a dynamic, growing business and is ideal for a highly organised, articulate, confident and professional individual that wants to be part of a thriving, expanding business. Experience of mentoring, developing and training sales professionals to reach their sales potential would be a definite plus. You will be competitive in nature, a proactive sales leader and set high expectation levels for both your team and yourself. Your style will be managing 'from the front' with a healthy balance of 'carrot and stick'.

The role reports directly into the Sales Director, who is offsite typically 3-4 days per week. Therefore, you must have the ability to work on your own together with the confidence to make decisions and handle all sales-related matters with consummate ease.

Your people skills are paramount, and as such, you will be a consistent and fair manager that embraces change and is a highly effective communicator. You will be an above-average user of the Microsoft Office software suite and be a conscientious and decisive character that loves a challenge.

In addition, you will be a highly socially skilled and persuasive individual with a natural flair for introducing new working methods and selling those ideas to colleagues and peers.
