Internal Recruiter

Due to growth within the organisation we are currently looking for experienced recruiters to join our team based in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm equating to a 35 hour week.

Job Purpose:

To provide a cost effective centralised recruitment function for the successful hire of permanent employees against agreed timescales and business unit budgets.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Taking specifications of new roles and following the recruitment process through to offer stage
  • Ensure that all line managers are aware of the process for recruiting new internal and external employees and that the recruitment department is the single point of contact for all recruitment requests
  • Providing interview support and guidance to Hiring Managers as and when required
  • Ensure all vacancies are approved in conjunction with the authority sign off matrix
  • Ensure that all offers of employment are correct and approved in conjunction with the authority sign off matrix
  • Ensure strong relationship is developed with PSL of agencies, giving them a thorough understanding of the process for recruiting new employees
  • Visit line managers at client sites, as and when required
  • Suggest alternative recruitment methods
  • Conduct telephone interviews when required as part of the candidate sifting process
  • Utilising Internet Job Boards, paper based advertising and other non agency recruitment channels to reduce recruitment agency reliance
  • CV sifting on all vacancies to ensure only a short list of CVs per vacancy is submitted to hiring manager
  • Assisting the Recruitment Manager with project activities
Person Specification:
  • Extensive experience of volume recruitment essential
  • Previous experience of in house recruitment desirable
  • Full driving licence is essential
  • Knowledge of Preferred Supplier List arrangements
  • Proven experience in designing and running assessment centres
  • Knowledge of E-recruitment
  • A full understanding of temporary recruitment costs including margins and mark ups desirable
  • Knowledge of recruitment advertising
  • Extensive experience of short listing applications for employment
  • Extensive experience of both face to face and telephone interviews
  • High degree of proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Good communication skills and resilience under pressure
  • Ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders and external
  • Has sufficient tenacity and determination to manage the internal customer
  • Self starter and able to grasp/support change processes
  • Team player
