Our client is a leading FTSE 250 company within civil engineering industry. As part of the Internal Communications team, your role will be to support the delivery of internal communications requirements for Group and Operation functions. You will work both independently and directly with the Head of Internal Communications to provide both tactical guidance and delivery to both functions.
You will work with the wider Internal Communications team to support the company-wide integration of the Internal Communications strategy, giving constant consideration to the most effective way(s) to best engage with colleagues and ensuring measurement in effectiveness.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
·Support the Head of Internal Communications, in delivering the internal communications strategy
·Where appropriate help to embed this strategy within all Group functions
·Work directly with all Group functions to create, and where appropriate, delivery of effective internal communications plans which reach the target audience and have two-way feedback mechanisms.
·Measure the effectiveness of all internal communications activity for Group and Operations.
·Guide, support and advise Group functions in the best way to engage colleagues.
·Have awareness of Divisional communications activity to help coordinate communications.
·Support the event management for key activities such as Forums and Conferences throughout the year.
·Manage - under the direction of the Head of Internal Communications - key communications needs from and for the business - proactive vs. reactive.
·Lead/support on other ad hoc communications programs as directed by the Head of Internal Communications/ Director of Communications
Skills and Experiences:
·Extensive experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in working within a fast paced UK plc.
·Good organisational skills and ability to project manage multiple initiatives simultaneously & work under pressure.
·Exceptional verbal, writing and editing skills and in particular the ability to write in different styles to reflect the nature of the audience and message.
·Keen eye for detail.
·Proven experience in dealing with and influencing business leaders, and confident at networking and building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
·Good IT proficiency
