Internal Communications Executive

About the role:

Working within the Marketing Communications team and for the Internal Communications Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Collinson Group’s internal communications activities globally.

As the Internal Communications Executive, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day flow for all staff internal communication and you will spend most of your time working on all staff email campaigns, curating and publishing news for the intranet and project managing the quarterly global newsletter
  • Understand our people landscape and work with regional peers to ensure messages and communication are regionalised and localised where necessary
  • Work with internal stakeholders and leverage the skills of the marketing team who work in design, email marketing, copywriting and digital
  • Be an advocate and contribute to the vision of helping everyone become a great internal communicator

Job Responsibilities:

Email marketing:

  • Manage the global staff email schedule of global and regional email campaigns and content strategy to ensure volume and frequency is at an acceptable level
  • Plan and brief the email marketing team for all internal campaigns and provide them with all of the email assets they need to execute, provide reporting and insights and optimise performance
  • Brief and work with the design team to create and deliver the email banners and assets which maintain a high quality look and feel and are aligned to brand guidelines
  • Copy writing, editing, proof reading and get sign off from stakeholders in a timely manner - ensure that the messaging is clear and the tone of voice is consistent for global communication and allows for regionalised or personal tone (depending on the content, sender and audience)

News stories

  • Create, curate, edit and publish news on the intranet
  • Maintain the global news space and schedule
  • Support the Internal Communications Manager in implementing a strategy and plan for ensuring more news content is generated regionally and locally but is done in leveraging our global framework, best practices and guidance
  • Be the first point of contact across the business for any internal news stories, build relationships and have regular contact with key contributors and provide ongoing guidance and support to colleagues
  • Provide a monthly report on the performance of news articles with insights and recommendations for future news stories
  • Keep Internal Communication-related intranet pages updated with interesting and useful content

Quarterly newsletter:

  • Plan and project manage the creation and delivery of our internal newsletter on a quarterly basis
  • Work with contributors and internal teams on the design and layout of the digital and print version, creation of other design assets (email banner, imagery etc.), facilitate the creation and copywriting of articles, liaise on the set up, broadcast and reporting of email newsletter

  • Marketing, communications or business-related degree
  • Understand appropriate use of all marketing channels for internal communication campaigns

  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

  • Experience of working in a marketing/communications, copywriting, editing or editorial role in an agency or mid-sized company (international business preferred)
  • Use of content management systems and intranet preferable - use of Confluence advantageous
