Internal Account Manager

Our Reading based client is seeking an Internal Account Manager to join their growing team. This role will involve both sales administration and proactively calling clients to follow up quotes and developing their business.

The role:

  • Help manage customer base and process incoming sales enquiries/ orders via phone, web or email
  • Co-ordinate and action outgoing pro-active sales calls to customers on a daily basis
  • Field incoming phone calls and either handle or transfer as necessary
  • Prepare quotations for customers and advise as required
  • Provide contact support for Field Sales
  • Commit to learning products and their uses to be able to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Assist in general administration including support for other senior members of the team
  • Updating databases etc. as necessary

The person:

  • Confidence and efficiency in the use of the telephone
  • Good written and numeric skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sales driven approach with competence to qualify and maximise opportunities
  • Proactive approach to quote follow-up and order close
  • Always prepared to work as an enthusiastic team member
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload, completing tasks to an acceptable standard
  • Aspiration for progression
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook. The company uses Orderwise as a software program for order processing for which training will be given.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-disciplined

Other Information

  • Working hours 8.00am-5.00pm with ½ hour lunch, Monday - Friday
  • Free lunch provided
