The salesperson has shared responsibility with external sales partners for achieving sales targets of the companies own products and in licensed products on the territory.
This should be achieved mainly through incoming and out going telephone calls with professionals and other staff. Other cost effective communication channels may also be used from time to time.
Achieve or exceed sales targets for promoted products within expenditure and promotional budgets.
The prime role is to make contact by telephone and engage in a selling discussion with the client and other staff involved in ordering of products.
The selling of products to customers should comply with current promotional campaigns and company policies.
It is expected that the salesperson will have contact, through incoming and outgoing calls, with a minimum of 40 customers per day.
At all times the individual should demonstrate a level of professionalism that upholds the company standards.
The salesperson is responsible for exploring all opportunities for the sales into companies and ensuring that customers are aware of any current volume discount offers.
The sales person will be responsible for updating the Customer Relationship Management database (CRM) with notes on any discussion with customers.
The sales person is responsible for the correct entering of sales orders onto the appropriate database according to Standard Operation Procedure (SOP).
Whilst the individual may have a defined geographical area or responsibility, from time to time they will be required to provide cover for other areas.
Organising the despatch of products according to the current SOP.
Adhere to Health and Safety policies and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 GCSE's / "O" Levels including Maths and English
Previous experience in a Telesales role as part of a sales team
Must be adept in use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, CRM software, Internet and email.
Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations.
Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on quality and business profit. A good planner who critically assesses own performance.
Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with professional customers at all levels. Reliable, tolerant and determined.
Good communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view but persuasively able to project own view point.
Businesslike and keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
