This is a fantastic opportunity to join as an Interior Solutions Trainer with British Gypsum (Saint-Gobain) where you are representing British Gypsum's industry leading training in Academy, E-Learning and On-Site settings; facilitating the high competence development of customers across all sectors, fostering new industry talent, and enhancing the quality and productivity of our contractor partners.

As an Interior Solutions Trainer member you will be involved in the following:

  • Delivering the Academy Prospectus with excellence across all channels, promoting best practice and quality in new and existing operatives and supervisors, providing accurate and up-to-date guidance on BG product and system installation.
  • Provides site-based guidance on installation, fault-finding, quality and waste reduction best practice, and safe handling of British Gypsum products and systems - including toolbox talks, product inductions and informal competence assessment.
  • Maintains knowledge of drylining and finishing industry best practice, contractor site-based trends, regulatory changes and internal policy impacts upon the way training is received or delivered in high-performance solutions. Is able to deliver the full suite of Academy courses, across all channels, whilst maintaining specialism in key areas of expert knowledge.
  • Facilitates engagement with new entrants and trainees from external bodies such as schools and state or private colleges in fields associated with British Gypsum products and systems - either by playing host, or visiting relevant locations, to support development of careers in drylining and plastering
  • Attends and supports customer events at request of Sales or directly to demonstrate the range of British Gypsum courses, or with specific focus on the installation and best practice support of Products and Systems.

To be suitable for the Interior Solutions Trainer role you need to have:

  • Experience in Plastering, Joinery or dry lining desirable.
  • Team engagement and supervision.
  • Professional conduct in safety sensitive working conditions.
  • Communication, presentation or sales experience.
  • Working use of Zoom, MS Teams, Skype or similar digital communication tool
  • Working use of Microsoft Office products such as Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Trade or industry specific qualifications in installation or training delivery (NVQ Level 2 Plastering) - mandatory.
  • Practical skills, technical knowledge, presentation and communication, attention to detail, enquiring, operational policy knowledge.
