Interim Strategic Procurement Manager will actively be involved in reviewing markets and identifying global purchasing opportunities with the executive team to provide professional procurement support to assess and develop those opportunities into robust supply agreements.
As a commercial procurement professional, it is expected that you will, undertake supplier review and due diligence. Establish demand requirements with operational teams. Negotiate supply terms. Draft and review supply contracts to ensure clarity of requirements and appropriate protections. Arrange importation/inbound logistics through the supply chain team.
Experience and Skills:
*Demonstrable experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in delivering effective purchasing strategies
-Global supply (ideally materials)
-Complex supplier negotiations
-Developing/assessing contractual terms and conditions
-Supplier assessment/due diligence
*Strong commercial acumen
*Organised and structured in approach
*Self-managed and highly motivated
*Able to work at pace
*Highly numerate, literate and detail conscious
*Term: 3 months maybe longer
*Basis: £300 - £400 p/d depending on experience
