Robertson Bell Finance are looking to recruit an Interim Service Charge Accountant for a leading Housing Association based in East London. The role will last for a minimum period of three months, with possibility of extension subject to review. This role joins the organisation at a time of growth and development.
As the Interim Service Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for the service charge and rental income accounting function. This will include raising charges for residential rent, monitoring outgoing costs and managing budgetary control, producing annual service charge statements, quarterly service charge variance analysis and completing the new set ups of the service charges. In addition, you will complete accruals, prepayments and process journals to ensure an efficient month end. Processing supplier, tenant and leaseholder refunds will be key as part of income management control.
The successful candidate will have at least one year of Service Charge experience. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a dedication to providing a high quality of customer service. Analysing data will be a large part of the role so you must be comfortable using Excel to an intermediate/advanced level. Experience of using Qube to carry out service charge accounting is essential for this post.
