Interim Senior Data Protection Analyst
About the role
This is a contractor position for approximately 3 months.
As the Senior Data Protection Analyst, you will drive the development, management and maintenance of our UK Data Protection framework, establishing and implementing appropriate controls and mitigating data protection risk for the UK business. By understanding our products and organisation, you will be aware of new and emerging risks & regulatory developments and advise the leadership team with regards to data protection and its impact on the business.
In addition, you will ensure consistent deployment and development of Group Data Protection Compliance policies, perform risk assessments and manage the data protection monitoring and testing program. You will also be involved in compliance related projects and initiatives.
What we're looking for
With excellent knowledge of local data protection laws and regulations including GDPR, you will have gained experience in providing guidance to the business within a data protection specialist role. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to provide compliance risk management, identification, evaluation, mitigation and management in relation to data protection, including knowledge of IT security standards.
You will have gained experience within the financial services or banking industry, with the ability to interact with regulators effectively including managing active discussions and negotiations, and operating under stringent expectations and deadlines. You will also have strong analytical and data interpretation skills including the ability to review, interpret and present data in a concise and precise manner; leading the team in creating reporting and presentation materials that captivate and resonate with the target audience.
