Interim Operations Manager

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving operational improvements across planning, production, waste reduction and quality in an automated and hand assembly production environment. You will review and implement your recommendations for improving operational performance across a c200 strong workforce.

The successful candidate will implement operational improvement plans to generate real change and tangible value and continue to review and critique the operational requirements. You will maximise capital investment in the site whilst initiating cost reductions and ensure continuous and efficient production at the lowest cost consistent without compromising quality, quantity and delivery requirements.

Your proven ability to introduce innovative change must be matched by a track record of creating lean, customer focused and value adding manufacturing operations.

The Person

You will be an accomplished Interim Operations professional with a proven track record of developing high performance, ideally within automotive tier suppliers and/or industrial high volume manufacturing.

You will have a strong management and leadership background and be able to develop communication with the team to motivate and ensure clarity of direction.

A proven interim track record in the execution of Lean and Continuous Improvement is imperative.

Personal credibility, enthusiasm and a flair for communication are essential, but above all you will need to have vision, determination and the ability to translate the changing needs of a demanding market into compelling and deliverable service solutions.

Your remit will include; planning production activities and managing HSE within the team, performance management and driving continuous improvement throughout production, running regular production meetings presenting operational performance and taking action to resolve real time operating problems such as production delays or poor quality.
