Interim HRIS Payroll Systems Project Consultant - 6 to 9 Months - Barnsley - £350 to £450 per Day
For this exciting project role the interim HRIS Payroll Systems Project Consultant will support the company's payroll through a significant transformation, involving organisational, process and systems change. The transformation is challenging due to the required speed of change, the number of teams involved and reliance on an out-sourcing partner.
The payroll team is responsible for weekly and monthly payrolls in the UK and Ireland totalling 4,500 employees as well as recording time for 2,000 temporary staff. The objectives of the department are to pay employees accurately and on time, whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy. High quality processes and controls are needed to ensure the achievement of these objectives.
Establish the full scope of existing payroll processes and interview all subject matter experts to capture and document process flows, controls, responsibilities and system maps in each area.
Carry out risk reviews of existing processes to identify areas of control weakness.
Adopt a lean approach to analyse existing processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Presentation to all payroll stakeholders of recommendations for process and control improvements to achieve the objectives mentioned above.
Work with the subject matter experts to design and implement process and control improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
Establish a payroll risk log.
